Sexson Sandra MD

Dr. Sandra B. Sexson is a board-certified psychiatrist in both general and child/adolescent psychiatry, with a distinguished career spanning leadership, education, and clinical excellence. She has served as Division Chief of Child, Adolescent, and Family Psychiatry and Program Director for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship since 2004. A national pioneer, she also helped establish the Post Pediatric Portal Program in 2016. Dr. Sexson is a recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including the 2017 Vestermark Award for psychiatric education, the 2018 Virginia Q. Anthony Woman Leader of the Year, and recognition as one of “America’s Top Doctors.” She has published extensively and held influential roles in major psychiatric organizations such as AADPRT, AACAP, ABPN, and AADCAP, shaping mental health education and policy both nationally and internationally.
