Description

The Belle Center, originally founded in 1984 in St. Louis, was a pioneering organization dedicated to promoting the inclusion of children with developmental delays and disabilities into community settings. It was notably the first in the Midwest to establish a preschool where children with and without disabilities could learn and play together. In 2012, The Belle Center merged with the St. Louis Arc, a nonprofit organization that provides support and services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. This merger expanded the reach and resources available to families, enhancing inclusive education and community integration efforts.
