Amanda K. Schnee, PhD

During graduate school, Dr. Schnee also focused on academic concerns in the areas of reading and writing, and has aided several students in improving their academic performance. She also completed an externship at Washburn Center for Children in Minneapolis, Minnesota in the Day Treatment Program, in which she implemented group and individual therapy with children experiencing severe emotional and behavioral disorders. Prior to attending graduate school, Dr. Schnee attended Iowa State University, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. During this time, Dr. Schnee held a position through The Homestead in Runnells, Iowa, working one-on-one with children and adolescents with Autism and Asperger’s Disorder. Additionally, Dr. Schnee interned at a Summer Treatment Program in Buffalo, New York, with children with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. Dr. Schnee enjoys working with children and adolescents with various diagnoses and presenting concerns.
